Took the boys to visit my dad. Very hard to explain death to a three year old.
Didn't even try to explain why my mother's name is also on the tombstone.

You can't explain death to a 3 year old...heck it's hard to explain it to a 5o year old sometimes. But it is good they aren't shielded from the realities of life.
