My wonderful mother-in-law and her buddy Bev spent the day painting our living room. She also came up with the idea of tearing out the carpet for the beautiful wood floor underneath. I have to admit, it looks awesome now.
The walls were a mint green when we moved in (seriously), and now the walls are "Sassy Peach". The floor, awesome wood. It's a totally new room.

Your mother-in-law is brilliant. No one should ever cover their hardwood floors with carpet.
