Vacation Day Three: A lunch offer too good to pass up at the aptly named "Hot Dogs Plus".

The greatest football club on Earth advanced to the UEFA Champions League Final for only the third time in club history Tuesday.

Time to bring the big cup with ears back home to Old Trafford!

This is Tuesday's photo. Sorry, I was busy yesterday.

First day of vacation. Got the spring cleaning done in the house, making our living room immaculate.
It so angered God that he shot beams out of his eyes and into my window to singe my vain ass.

As a early gift, my wife's mother bought me some delicious Redenbacher popping corn and this ginormous bag o' peanut butter cups.
Seriously, the damn bag is as big as my head. I'm eating my head's weight in peanut butter and chocolate.

My baby boy gets his first car.
Now that he's got a car, the chicks will come a-calling.
I would provide a photo from the surprise party my wife threw for me today, but I was totally surprised and didn't think to snap a photo. Thanks, Kimbers.

Inside joke here, but I find it funny that our local gay complex is called the Tec, just like a certain moron on a message board I frequent too often.

Thursday's photo since our internet was down yesterday.

These strips held down the carpet. They are the bane of my existence until I've peeled everyone up, and those little bitches don't like to come up.

My wonderful mother-in-law and her buddy Bev spent the day painting our living room. She also came up with the idea of tearing out the carpet for the beautiful wood floor underneath. I have to admit, it looks awesome now.
The walls were a mint green when we moved in (seriously), and now the walls are "Sassy Peach". The floor, awesome wood. It's a totally new room.

Sunday the family went out to enjoy some Ritter's Frozen Custard on a glorious seventy-plus degree day.
My boy really likes his frozen custard.

Those two tiny dots are the very uncooperative birds that made a mockery of this posting. See, I saw them on the wires and thought about snapping a photo and quoting some Leonard Cohen in the caption. But the flew away. They came back, I prepared, they flew away again. They flew away about four times in total, and always came back farther away. I finally gave in and took this photo.

Did Mr. Cohen sing about Birds Far Away on the Wire? Damn birds.

Unless that baby is a...

Today I got a call while at work. My wife needed a favor. Turns out she went home at lunch and didn't realize until she got back to work that she forgot to put her sandals on. So she worked the afternoon barefoot.

Part of me thinks it was just a simple slip of the mind. But the other part of me realizes her blog is titled "Barefoot Adult".

Coincidence?

These are the books I picked up Wednesday at the library. Got the Obama book in honor of him visiting our fair state recently. Got the House of Bush because I liked Unger's last book. The Grand Theft Jesus is very good so far. The top two I got mainly because of the titles. When you have less than ten minutes to look, a catchy title can win you over.

Took a trip to the local library yesterday, because that's what we do when the skies are pink here in the Midwest.

Because my wife really dislikes herself, and because her day wasn't bad enough, she decided to watch this today (the MST3K version).
I know it's dark and somewhat blurry, but that's the best this movie deserves.
Worst film ever.

An uber-dry natural skin combined with constant freezing cold on my right hand has caused this loverly sight. I really need to lotion more often. Those cuts are tiny, but hurt like hell when bumped.

The sacrifices I make for the job.

The new issue of MajorLeagueSoccer Magazine arrived in the mail today. A bit late for the opening day of the season, but just in time for ESPN2's Primetime Thursday double header!

Nice, Spring like weather hit Wednesday, and the boy had to get in his first trip down the slide this year.

For the last few days, my oldest boy has excitedly pointed out the "Alvin and the Chipmunks" poster in the window of the local video store as we drove by.

Today, when I picked the boys up from daycare, he came running up with the box for the "Alvin and the Chipmunks" DVD, excited.

So after he ate a good meal and was being an excellent boy, I decided to treat him. I took him to the video store to rent "Alvin and the Chipmunks". It was in stock. I picked up a copy.

And he told me, "I don't want that."

So we rented this film instead.

Kids. Gotta love 'em.
