I think this is a burning bush. The leaves turn a brilliant red in the Fall before falling off.

Anywho, the bush has grown huge this year. Usually, if memory serves me correctly, it is only about half this size.

Next week I'll have to trim the bush (har-har).

The boy goes with Daddy to the depot to get some more free ice cream.

For those keeping track, we got seven half-gallons for nothing.

Daddy with Baby Jaguar.

We took our oldest boy to the Diego show tonight at the local civic auditorium, and a good time was had by all. Plus, we found out that Spamalot is coming to our town next year.

For those curious, I think Baby Jaguar lost his right eye in Nam.

For all the grandparents out there, our little baby boy can now feed himself.

It's amazing how fast he's growing.

My eldest boy having fun at a local park after our family Memorial Day picnic.

I would have a picture of the baby, but he slept most of the time.

My blog needed more action shots.

"I'm Batman, dammit!"
Batman is either angry, pouting, or a very cranky old man.

The boys sat with Daddy in the bedroom Saturday morning, watching the Coca-Cola Championship Playoff final betwixt Hull and Bristol live on Setanta Sports.

A good time was had by all.

And for those who care, Hull won the game and the promotion to the English Premier League next season.

It's a Twofer-Friday!

I originally took this one because I find it amusing that Del Taco has a hamburger prominently on their sign.

However, now I'm posting it because it looks like I was falling and snapped this picture right before impact. Which is also amusing.

Can't have a Twofer-Friday without two photos. This is the same Del Taco restaurant, new to our little town. My wife pointed out how it's almost the same color as our living room.

Except our living room is prettier.

Thursday morning I found our little baby boy had spent some time destroying his crib.

This is our "huge" storage space. We don't have a depot here in town, so all our ice cream is trucked in overnight from the Fort Wayne plant, and everything else we need is kept in this little space.
Impressive, no?

I know I do too many food photos on here.

But seriously, folks, these are the best damn cookies you'll ever sink your teeth into. If you don't go buy a box tomorrow, I will personally show up at your door and slap you.

All the sex. A false miscarriage. Nine months of pregnancy. Water breaking weeks before due date. Hundreds of dollars in hospital bills. Hundreds of dollars in doctor bills. Shots every two months.

All this so my older boy can have something to pet.

A week late, but we took my mother out for a Mother's Day breakfast this morning. With two moms and one stepmom between us, it's hard to fit everybody in on one day.

Saturday.
You can barely see it, but to the right of the bush trunk there is a tiny bunny. It's our neighborhood bunny. I would have gotten a better picture, but it is impossible to get closer to the bunny than this.

Friday.
A co-worker calls me up during work and tells me there is some free stuff in one of our trucks due to a store reset. I get there, see nobody else around, and load up.
That's 3 dibs, 2 Haagen Dasz bars, 1 Haagen Dasz yogurt pint, 1 Haagen Dasz Chocolate quart, and 2 48 oz Fudge Swirls.
I would have gotten even more, but somebody else got there.

Nothing says fun times like a boy and his goop.

The gift my oldest boy made for his beloved mommy at daycare for Mother's Day. You can't see it here, but he had a friend draw a "Star Wars" character shooting a laser gun in the bottom right corner.

This is Thursday's photo, taken by my lovely wife.

The scars of battle after playing rough with my eldest boy.

He plays to win, even in a pillow fight.

The hallway after I removed the carpet, the staples, and the strips that held it all down. Even dirty and unswept, the wood floors are still awesome.

Getting calls from candidates and such. Not about the election. She just wanted to chat for a bit.

Despite my advancing years, my mother still likes to make a special birthday dinner for me. My favorite of all her meals-gigantic eggrolls. It was a bit late this year due to scheduling, but still damn tasty.

Horrible for my health, but still damn tasty.

Vacation Day Five: Got to mow my lawn for the first time in 2008 today. Of course, it was pouring rain. But nothing would stop me.

Vacation Day Four. The boys watch some Superman: The Movie while kicking back (and kicking each other) and chillin'.
